PolicyStat Question

Does PolicyStat have a feature available, in which you can send mass communication to the organization’s workforce regarding new policies or other policy management information/data? If so, how can I distribute that information via email? Thank you.

Hi @abir.adra, that’s a really great question I hope someone from RLDatix development team will be able to chime in on. To the best of my knowledge, PolicyStat does NOT have that capability. The system does send many automatic notifications depending on settings, but that’s only to people that either have elevated permissions for the impacted area the policy lives in, or if they’re a part of the approval workflow, someone assigned to acknowledge, and collaborators get notified if mentioned in the Comments section. One suggestion is to open Users in the Admin Console and export the list to Excel and then filter as appropriate and use the email column when you manually generate communications to your organization. A couple of issues with that is that there aren’t many helpful columns for filtering based on role or responsibilities, and it’s only going to show you the registered users, so not everyone in your organization would be included.

Another suggestion is to use the acknowledgement feature, particularly if only certain users need to receive notification of a new policy version. You could create User Groups and then assign them as appropriate for Recurring Acknowledgements.

Unless someone from RLDatix has another recommendation, I suggest you enter your idea into the Ideas Portal for others to vote on it.

Thank you very much for your suggestions. In this case, I would need to include staff that may not access or use Policy Stat. However, I will enter this in the Ideas Portal. Thank you again!

You’re welcome @abir.adra! Given your latest response, if your organization has an “All Staff” email distribution list, maybe that would be your best option. If your policy owners already provide education as needed for new policies and/or changes to the staff immediately impacted, then perhaps when it comes to everyone else, the new/updated policies info may not be as time sensitive, sending one monthly mass communication identifying those policies would be helpful.
